Why is the "B" in bridge a capital letter and the "k" in kwai is not?????

Not everyone who goes there goes to the Tiger Temple. It depends on what attracts you about Kanchanburi.

For a group of 7, you could hire a private driver and/or guide and a van. That would allow you to customise your trip, go and do what you want. Alternatively, you could join a large group tour, easily and inexpensively booked from Bangkok.

Whether to make it a day trip, stay over night or even two nights depends on your level of interest in what is there.

Do a search here on the board for Kanchanburi. You'll find lots of info.

because many of the people go with tong and one of her favorite stops for guests is the tiger temple, although i am not sure that is the case anymore.....the tiger temple has been "sold" to some foreign group it has been reported...

rhkkmk Jul 21st, 2009 08:12 AM

i have not reported this correctly....the temple was not sold, it has just come under more intense government pressures and is being run by some outside agency and appears to have become incorporated or some other thai business formation. in any case it no longer is the same as it was and they are changing the rules daily....costs have increased sharply, for instance i gather it is 4500B to hold a baby now---that's a lot of $$...

4500 baht to hold a baby tiger??? thats outrageous!

shanek Jul 21st, 2009 01:30 PM

What we paid for the experience with the tiger cubs was 1000 baht per person (only the kids did it) on top of the 500 baht per head entry fee, so our entire fee at the Temple was 4000 baht. The kids got to play with 4 cubs for 45 minutes and there was only 1 other couple in this session. This was only last month.
