Just back from India

Just returned from a first and fabulous vacation in India. Went to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur,Khajuharo, Bandhavgarh Tiger sanctuary, and Goa. If anyone has any questions about any of these places, drop me a line.

My wife & I are considering a trip to northern India. Did you handle all of your arrangements or did you do an independent tour or an organised tour? We do not want an organised tour with other people. Any advice including airline, agents etc. will be appreciated.

I will be in Dehli two weeks from now. I was told that it is unbelievably polluted and filthy. Did you find it so? Any highlights? Must sees?

Neither Ed nor Alcynon addressed the questions to me, but I will respond, nevertheless. I was in Delhi in January (again)and am still ranting about the high level of pollution. Our international flight, along with those of other airlines, was cancelled the night we were to depart and we were taken to rooms at a nearby hotel until the next noon. The Indians call it "fog," but that is certainly a euphemism. Consider taking something like Flonase to keep your nasal passages clear. To Ed: my trip was such a last minute one that I resorted to using a travel agency that planned a customized visit for the two of us. It was Himalayan Tours in Auburn, AL, run by two Auburn professors. One is an Indian whose family handles the travel once you get to India. I can tell you more, if you contact me. P
