Jumbo Floating Restaurant - Halong Bay, anyone been? Other suggestions?
 

Making a big list of restaurants to try, and looking for Halong Bay recommendations.

There don't seem to be many, since i guess most people eat on the junks, but we're just doing a morning cruise.

So, on a TV show on Travel Channel the host went to Jumbo Floating restaurant, and ate what looked like stupendously fresh seafood he chose from the tanks.

Has anyone been? Is it any good?

Any other Halong dinner resto recommendations?

Isn't that in Hong Kong? Maybe there's another in Halong Bay.

Yes, there is one in Hong Kong, but there is also one in Halong Bay. I don't know if they're related though.

Maybe the meal looked fabulous because it was going to be on tv.

We had the only bad food and bad service of our entire 3 week trip to Hong Kong/ Mainland China at the Jumbo Floating Restaurant.

Lynnie, i wonder if they are "related"...the HK one and the HaLong bay one.
