Julie Taxi Bangkok

The Bangkok telephone number (1846-2014) on Julie's website doesn't work any longer. Does anyone have a contact number for her that has been used during the last two months? Thanks.

have not seen any mention of julie in quite some time...

I have a card at home - I will look for it when I'm back in Seattle.

The number I have is the same as on her website. Did you try her email? Here's what we used:
[email protected]

(We very much enjoyed our day with her!)

Thanks folks. I will keep trying. If I do get a number I will post it.

I just heard from Julie today via email after previous emails didn't go through, possibly because of problems with her server. I've never been able to reach her by phone. Try both these email addresses for her:

E-mail: [email protected], [email protected]

Partial success. Julie Taxi continues to operate. I spoke to one of the drivers who assures me the company is OK. Telephone Numbers now seem to be working. No explanation as to why they didn't in the past.

Problems possibly due to unreliable telecommunication infrastructure generally (eg. my broadband service-ToT- goes from 1 Mbps to 18 Mbps most of the day, if it hasn't actually disconnected, with a glorious few moments of 54 Mbs).

I've seen mention of Julie the taxi driver several times here. Is she used primarily in Bangkok, or do people use her for longer trips outside of the city? We are considering hiring a taxi to take us to the border before crossing into Cambodia on the way to Siem Reap. Any idea how expensive this would be? Do you think this would be more comfortable and quicker than taking the bus? Thanks in advance. - June

Julie taxi is really just for the Bangkok area.

Why not take a train to the border to get to Siem Reap?

dgunbug Nov 28th, 2008 04:12 PM

Which do you think would be fastest to get to the border - train, bus or private car? We will probably be arriving via the overnight train station from Chaing Mai before heading to Cambodia. Would this be the same train station or would we need to transfer to a different one?

We booked Julies Taxi to collect us from the airport on our Feb 08 trip.No one collected us and when we telephoned her she was most unhelpful. We ended up getting a taxi from the front of the airport. I booked her because of the good reports I read here. We could not recommend her service to anyone.

That is exactly what happened to us when we had Julie Taxi booked for an airport transfer in BKK and the following day as well...no show both times, but I did not bother to call. That was in December 2005.

I have to admit that I would never use a service like Julie Taxi (or Ratt or Tong) for an airport pick-up. It really isn't worth their time for this kind of transport. Use AAC or AOT where that is their business. Nonetheless, it's not ok for any of them to accept a booking and then not show.

I tried to use her for a trip out to the airport from Thonglor. I emphasized punctuality as it was an early morning flight. I was promised "we are never late", quite indignantly. No one showed up, no one telephoned, nothing, zip. I took my family and luggage out on the street, picked up a clean cab and got to the airport on time but flustered and very PO'd. Do NOT rely on this over-touted outfit- they are unreliable and misleading. And, to really cap it off, I keep getting email spam from her - often and regularly. When I apply filters, she gets around them. too bad she isn't as good at running taxis as she is at persistently distributing spam thro' the internet.

Not for airport to the city, but Mr. Roong (Roongsayam Yosabay) is who I use for longer trips. He has taken me from BKK to Hua Hin & Cha Am. A friend of mine has used him to go to Pattaya. Reliable & resonable prices. [email protected]

He is also on Facebook.

Re.Julie Taxi- I want to remind you folks of this outfit's website- do not contact them by email or you will be inundated by spam- I keep filtering out her address but she comes back into my inbox daily under slightly different disguises. Very annoying- this has been the case now for over a year.
