Jomtien Beach - which hotel?

Has anyone stayed recently at the Bungalows at the Pinnacle Club, a lot cheaper than the Rabbit Resort, or any other suggestions for Jomtien beach, thanks all!

Totally different so choice is easy. Rabbit resort is mainly Thai style houses, very nice indeed but a little expensive, Jomtien is know for cheap prices as it caters far more for the Thai and Asian market than say Phuket or Samui. Pinnacle Club a brilliant choice, they have hotel style rooms and also bungalows. The beach is not a Phi Phi or even a Kata beach but being 90 minutes by expressway from central Bangkok means it it a cheap place to reach. Also 20 minutes from Pattaya for shopping and nightlife. If you are from the US the closest I could say is Jomtien like Fort lauderdale(very roughly), lots of accommodation, beach road but wide, cycle ricksdhaws along the beach road, countless activitees, Underwaterworld, plus Mini Siam of Pattaya and all the excitement of Pattay 20 minutes away. Rabbit is about 30 mins from pattaya and quioet area, actually Sunset beach as opposed to main 'Jomtien Beach' strip.

Sorry don't know 'Bangpu' at all, but Trat province is where you head to for Koh Chang island, nice part of Thailand, quiet for tourists, very 'Thai' coastline, fishing villages, but a few nice resorts to be found. If you are combining with a trip to Koh Chang Island should be nice.

Saw Bangpu in a local paper, it's Thai style wooden rooms/bungalows built on wooden 'stilts' over the water at the edge of the Lake, looks brilliant, a but far from BKK but if heading for Koh Chang then it looks a nice place for a day or so.
