thanks. it looks like Malaysia airline (jkt-del), around $540 one way. any recommendation on diffent route that is cheaper?? I am thinking taking air china for jkt-bkk, then find a cheap flight bkk-del. but it is such a hassle and i heard air china is delay all the time.

There are no budget airlines as such doing either of those routings at the moment, if you are looking for cheap fares then Jakarta travel consolidators probably your best option.
From Jakarta to Delhi you could try Air Asia to KL and then Indian Airlines from there, but you need to check the schedules, or use the Air India direct flights from Jakarta to Mumbai and then pick up a cheap flight to delhi, Malaysia via KL etc other options.

From Bangkok to Delhi you have a good choice of daily flights, Thai, Jet Airways, Indian Airlines +/ Air India, Indian Airlines and Jet probably both offering competative deals all non stop, SEAtours Bangkok are good for air fares,

Can anyone recommend a good hotel in Bngkok and KL? I wanted centrally located (most important), clean and safe for 2 female travelers. trying to limited to under US$100 a night, prefer $50-80 range. thanks for any info.
