JAPANiCAN.com

Has anyone booked hotels with JAPANiCAN.com? They have availability that others site don't have. But I know nothing about them.

Thank you very much.

I haven't booked with them, but know people who have done, and they are reliable. You can also get some of the best package deals (hotel+rail) from them.

Yes I have - booked 2 rooms for 3 nights with meals in the Fuji Yumoto in Hakone. Reliable and they have better access. Tried getting the same hotel in Agoda, Hotel.com and Expedia - no go. But Japanican had available rooms at reasonable rates. Try them. They keep you posted and even remind you fo your stay!

I used them for 3 places I stayed at during my trip last April. No problems whatsoever, and like you said, they often had availability for places that were sold out on other sites. I used booking.com for the rest of the trip, also with good results.

I once tried to book a hotel with Japanican and got all the way to putting in my cc number when the site returned a notice to the effect that no rooms were available.

My cc didn't get charged for anything (as indeed it should not have been) so while frustrating, the site was honest in my limited experience.
