OK, patriciabrogan, I’ve actually gone back through “our” history with the Yucatan, and while I might have missed a thread here or there (you started a LOT of threads), here’s my summary of what I saw:
- I posted comments on all of your planning threads to which I believed I could meaninfully contribute, comments I offered with honesty and – I believe – with respect. AND – more to THIS point – you seem to have acted on several of my recommendations, so I think I can say that I was helpful. For example, you stayed at the Flycatcher and ate at El Meson del Marques and La Pigua....
- I see comments that could be interpreted as “attitude” from you – but I hadn’t previously seen any reason to cast those comments in that light….
- I see a failure to acknowledge the help that YOU received. For example, I don’t see a single clear line of thanks in your trip report, not to ANY of the MANY Fodorites who patiently answered your questions, no matter how ill informed those questions seemed when you posed them.
- I don’t see the “snappy” attitude that you claim I had – but as I’ve said, I’m not sure I know what you mean by that. All I can do is assure you that my intent was and is to be helpful. If you don’t like what I have to say, please ignore it – but I would ask you, respectfully, to avoid criticizing me unless you have a legitimate complaint that you can document.

Just to let everyone know, and especial thanks to thursdaysd, I have booked in Yokohama - got a good deal on a bit of a luxury hotel, hopefully may even see views of Mt Fuji (!!), also hopefully access to Kamakura will be OK, it's going to be a busy day!
kja, writing the TR you refer to was a way of saying thanks,it was a lot of work, unlike Thorntree forum, what I found amazing on Fodors is not a single person commented on my TR (you are the first person to comment on it): I'm sorry for what I said to you, I was flat out desperately trying to find an hotel, it has been a huge mission with Japan especially with needing twin rooms, exhausting - and to be told when one's flat out chasing hotel rooms being sold out to not ask for easily accessible help in an ongoing conversation but rather to look on another website.....

Hiroshima is great! Great ppl great food great city and the Memorial museum is a must.
From there you can go to Koya san temple complex which is up in a mountain and a fantastic place for contemplation!
