Japan for 10 days
 

Just getting into planning for an approximate 10 day trip to Japan. Want to see as much as possible and am looking for advice, where to start , go, not to miss etc. Coming from NYC. I always get great advice from the forum so I am looking forward to responses. Thank you.

a good general website for Japan sightseeing is japan-guide.com....you can get an idea of the geography and different places to visit...plus much practical info....

Thanks everyone for the information. mrwunrfl - I enjoy travelling in general mostly to learn about other cultures. I think the more you meet people who are different from yourself the more tolerant and open you become. I also enjoy seeing the beauty of other terrains. I've never been to Asia and although I will visit Tokyo which is a city and I live in NYC I will also plan on visiting Mt Fuji, Kyoto and more. I understand it is quite a beautiful country .

When are you planning on going? What is your budget? Do you have your tickets yet? How many are going? We need a little more info from you to be helpful.
