its getting out of hand now... it seems the whole asia board will be in japan in november, 2013..

what are your dates for being there??

I'll probably be in BKK from about Oct 16 to Nov 1 or 2

ok, carol is THE ONLY ONE NOT THERE, but she could be if she wanted...

We're there the 15th through the 26th. Seems like we overlap with smeagol, but none of the other Fodorites.

Carol, you will probably be there at NRT on 10/16 and 11/1 or 2 :)

Nov 5 - Nov 20.

We will overlap with Bob and Karen, Filmwill and David, Don, Craig and HT and Linda, but we probably won't be in the same places in Japan as they are at the same time. I haven't seen smeagol's dates, but I think we overlap with them as well.

Yes, Carol, I'm going to celebrate "our " birthday in Japan this year!

It would be wonderful if we could meet for a GTG dinner, but I don't understand the Japan Rail system well enough to know how to figure it out! lol.

I'll be in Oklahoma on my birthday... not nearly as exciting as Tokyo or Kyoto...

I'm almost always here in lovely Kanazawa.

kim can you arrange a charter for us?? i'm thinking in terms of a bullet train where by we could all see one another...

Not as much action on the Japan threads this morning compared with yesterday. Guess I have time now to do some chores.

OR: plan a trip. Nikko, Kiso Valley, and Tateyama-Kurobe are still on my to-do list.

We are considering Japan as well, but won't know our schedule until later. I'll be reading everyone else's threads with great interest!

Charter a shinkansen...maybe possible but...I shudder to think of the cost.
