Is it easy to ship your luggage from Kyoto - Miyajima??

read that link. maybe ship from Kyoto, the day before you leave there, to Hiroshima

It would not be much of a detour to stop at Hiroshima station (to get your stuff from a coin locker) on the way to the port.

Do a hyperdia search for USHITA or FUDOIMMAE to HIROSHIMA PORT(UJINA) to see your basic route.

Also do the same search using HIROSHIMA as the "Pass1" or "Via 1" parameter.

"I am spending the night of 3rd April at Miyajima"

Then my suggestion would be to go to Hiroshima on the 2nd. See the logic I provided above.

Minbeef, it was the day the OP was arriving in to Kyoto that I thought was particularly unrealistic:

Arriving Kyoto Station - To accommodation.
Head to Gion and Nishiki Market to get some food. Shorein Temple - Heian Jingu Shrine - Head to Philosopher's path. Come back to Gion and roam around and explore."

OP, I realise you are making a tentative itinerary only at this stage, but for it to be any use to you, I do think you need to be using a map for reference, and understanding where different sites are, and how much time it can take to move between them.

That said, if you arrive in to Kyoto late morning and get to your accommodation, leave luggage and so on, then head out, you'll have half a day... Doesn't make sense to me go to Gion and then Nishiki Market and then back to Gion... maybe allow yourself to explore more in the area near to Nishiki Market (do you have interest in one of the big department stores, particularly the basement food hall? Or there are some fascinating tiny temples within the covered arcades around Nishiki). Then go to Gion and the rest of the stuff on your list for the day.
