Jaisalmer Hotel/Tent Recommendations

As part of my trip to India we are planning on spending 2 nights in Jaisalmer. We would like to book a hotel with a room for one night, then spend the second night at a camp/tent. Does anyone recommend a hotel they enjoyed in Jaisalmer for this experience? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I have looked at the Fort Rajwada website and I don't see anything about tent accommodations. Is this something they do? We would like the experience of a nice hotel for one night as well as a tent for one night.

Fort Rajwada doesn't have tents. It's also a rather marginal hotel.

You may book up hotel Gorbandh Palace. The property has been renovated quite recently. The suites have fabulous views of the fort. The food & service is second to none.
As for a tented accomodation, these are available close to the Sam sand dunes. The tented accomodation is not recommended in the peak of winters for the tempratures plummet as the sun goes down.
However, 'The Serai' at Jaisalmer with the tented suites could be a promising alternative. The amount these folks are charging, I am inclined to think, allows for a comfortable, luxurious stay, with 24 hrs. power back up.
Happy Travels!
