Jaipur in Jan'12
Post the Jaipur Lit Fest (20th-24th Jan'12),planning a drive(breeze) thru Rajasthan.Here it goes:
Day 1. Set off from Jaipur.Visit Bikaner palace and sight seeing in the morning. Go to Gajner and stop by for a 10'O clock tea by the lake side restaurant. Leave NH15 and route along the Indira Gandhi Canal. Go up to Vajju Fanta and then turn towards Phalodi. Stay night here at Old havelli in middle of city. Day 2. Early morning visit to Keechan to see migratory birds come in for morning feed. Drive to Ramdeora and see the temple. Stop at the near by Fort Pokharan for Lunch. Then drive to Jaisalmer. Go for sunset view to Sand dunes. Probably try the 'Bhang Lassi' at the fort gate before retiring for the night. Day 3. Hopefully no hangover,visit Jaisalmer fort in the morning, Drive to Dechu post lunch. Stay night at sand dune camps. Go for night camel safari. Day 4 & 5. Go to Jodhpur. See old Jain temples.Stay at Khimsar. Day 6. Back to Jaipur and fly out. Microscopic scrutiny solicited.Suggestion for addition or deletion of places welcome.May be able to squeeze in another day by cutting a day at the Lit Fest.Comments please.Thx |

yeah jaipur is nice city and hopefully you enjoy there and you can also enjoy the camel safari and much more ..

Try the Bhaang Lassi with caution, the hangovers are not pretty. You might miss your fort visit next morning, but then again some (read few) people have no problems having it.

Its a very beautiful city of India... Lots of forts are over there.... Camel riding is also available....
