Jagalchi fish market in Busan

How far is this from the cruise ship dock?? Can we take a cab

Yes you can take a cab. As I recall the ship was not very close to the market. It has been a number of year since we were there. We hired a taxi to take us to a temple I read about that wasn't to far from town which was nice. It was in the fall and the trees were turning and it was nice to drive into the suburbs. Then when to the fish market, walked around a bit and went to the cemetery before going back to the ship. It was a nice short tour.

Is fish market worth seeing?

Well. We thought it was, but we seem to like fish markets...we always go to the one in Seattle when there. Lots of fish we had never seen before, many things still alive. The ladies selling were interesting too. There is also a low key neighborhood shopping area that backs up to the fish market and we walked through that. It was interesting to walk around just to get the feel of city. If you have spent much time in Asia, it might not be that interesting, but we were fairly new to Asia at the time.

I will say, if the ship is there all day and offering the tour to the ancient capital do that, it is an all day tour...but it is a very good tour, wonderful old, old buildings and interesting scenery and history. Ours also went to some tombs and to a nice hotel on a pretty lake for lunch.

We have been to Busan twice, once for 1/2 day and we toured to city as I said and once for all day and we did the ship tour, one of few we have ever done.

Right next to the Jagalchi Fish Market is a Raw Fish Street, which is even more interesting than the market. From there you could walk seemingly forever through a couple of very expansive traditional markets. It's a great area.
