Just want to let you know that the Baan Boran is not in Chaing Mai. It is nearer to Chain Rai, but technically is in the Golden Triangle. Which is about 4 - 5 hours by car from Chaing Mai, if I remember correctly.

With that said, it is a great resort, and that one of my favorite parts of Thailand, the other being the Phi Phi Islands.

I belive that three nights are plenty in Chaing Mai. We were there for three nights and we had seen everything we wanted to.

If this is your first trip to Thailand, you should experience Bangkok (unless you hate cities). There are many wonderful hotels along the river, which is where I'd recommend you stay. Two or three nights is likely enough in Chaing Mai, but I notice that all the rest of your time is at the beach. Is that what you want? You're also moving among three beaches for your beach time. Remember that takes time away from relaxing. Personally, I'd choose one beach and stay there for all of my beach time.

Thanks, yes we plan to hit the beaches after Chiang Mai (or Rai) - it is after all our honeymoon. Do you recommned Koh Lanta (Krabi) over, say, Phuket or Hua Hin? Also, in general, do you agree with our choices of Koh Lanta and Ko Samui; we like the beach, soft adventure, some nightlife but nothing too crazy except for a full moon party or two.

I know I keep posting the same reccomendation but having returned just last week I still can't forget my experience sailing around the islands with Ronnie, [email protected]
This would be a great way to see many islands sunbathing on the deck. The only thing is that for some newly wed you could have a hard time in the small cabin...
