is there an event in Singapore from April6-13?
 

I've been trying to book a room in Singapore for these dates on the various discount web sites like asiahotels.com. No one has posted rates past March. Is there a big convention or some holiday that would account for the hotels being filled or not offering discount rates? My trip is only 2 months away and I'd like to get a room booked.

Have you tried the hotels directly? I've not been to Singapore, but whenever we've travelled elsewhere in Asia, I've been able to get a better room rate directly with the hotel than anywhere else.

With asiahotels.com you can fill out an online form requesting rates and they will check with the hotel and get back to you. Sometimes hotels are just slow to post their rates.

most all asia rates change as of march 31 and they probably are not ready to post them as of yet...as suggested, try calling the hotel...of course that is not a discount...

You shouldn't really have had a problem, depends what sites you are using, try Hotelclub and others.

I do not think that they do not have the prices for April.
We shall go to Singapore at end of April, and already booked the hotel two months ago. We booked via
www.voyagenow.com or www.asiarooms.com (it is the same site).

I was able to get a room at Swissotel Stamford through asiarooms.com. They were the only web site doing bookings fro April. I got a deluxe fro $12 with breakfast and all taxes/service charges. The hotel quoted me a much higher rate directly.
