Is Singapore safe?

How safe is Singapore?

Can you walk around at night and take the subway safely?

Guenmai Feb 16th, 2006 07:12 PM

YES. Have been going there for years, female, and alone and have never had any problems what-so-ever. But,of course, nowhere is perfectly safe, so keep your guards up somewhat, but overall, it hasn't been a problem for me. Happy Travels!

It is very safe. Just take the usual precautions & you should be fine. We've taken it at 5.30 am from the airport & used it late at night and never had any issues. Singapore is a very safe city for tourists. The Govt. does not tolerate violence or crime from it's citizens or it's visitors!

No big city in the world that's as safe or safer.

Yes its very safe. I have taken the bus/subway late in the night without any problems. Never felt uncomfortable doing it either.

It's safer than any big city I can think of. In fact from my perspective, it's so safe it's downright dull!
