I am almost positive the shuttle runs every hour to Tsim Tsa Tsui from the Harbour Plaza.
You can also take a taxi to and from the area, as Hung Hom is next to TST. To go to the Hong Kong side, take the Star Ferry. It is cheap, fast, and easy. You can also take the SF from the Hong Kong side to TST. I always did this instead of taking the shuttle because I thought it was fun! The Star Ferry is very cheap--something like 35 cents the last time I was in HK. |
marginal_margiela - how would you compare the views of Victoria harbor & H K island from IC hotel vs Harbor Plaza. You may not have stayed at the IC but the Star Ferry in Kowloon should serve as basis ( for IC view). To me Harbor Plaza seems too far away and "angled" for a full view of H K island. Thanks.

The Intercontinental is right on the harbour facing HK. The views are spectacular (I had lunch at the hotel).
The view I had from my room at the Harbour Plaza had an angular view that showed the lights of HK (at night), plus a view of the South China Sea. WOW!!!! You could also see fishermen in tiny boats with laterns fishing at night! The view from the rooftop pool area of the Harbour Plaza shows all of HK and Kowloon. IT IS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!! The pool has a glass wall that allows you to look down on all of HK whilst swimming!!!!!! I have stayed at the Crillon in Paris, the Oriental in Bangkok, the Peninsula in Hong Kong, the Connaught in London, the Ritz-Carlton in Istanbul, the Savoy in Florence, etc. and I have never, ever seen a view like that before from my hotel. |
Thank you marginal.. - that is an impressive list of hotels and thus an impressive recommendation. Was your room a harbourview at the Harbour Plaza?
I made a booking for a harbourview - now I have to decide which one to keep. Thank you again for all the info. |
