inmmunization before going to China??

This would be the first time that I would be visiting a Asian country,I would like to know if the people that write on this forum have had to have vaccines before going to China, and do you have to pay departure taxes when you leave China ?, thank You.

The departure fee is 90 RMB (just over US $10) for international, 50 RMB for domestic.

The above poster gives good advice regarding immunizations - you will just need to check to see which immunizations are recommended and which are required. Your local health department or medical university should have an international travel clinic that does these on a regular basis. They know which ones you'll need.

My medical provider has a travel center and the nurse was able to provide me with the appropriate vacinations for my trip to China. Just be sure get them early enough. My friend waited until a week before the trip and developed a reaction to the vaccine - not the best way to start the vacation.

Just a word about paying airport tax when leaving China. They will only accept it in RMB so be sure to keep enough. You pay it before you are allowed to the check-in area. Have a great trip.
