Indian Restaurant in Bangkok?
Was wondering if anyone had any Indian restaurant recommendations in Bangkok?
Thanks! |
There's Face restaurant at Sukhumvit, soi 38...which is two restaurants on one complex. Face is the Thai restauarant and then there's an Indian one...can't remember the name off the top of my head. I think it starts with an "H".
Also, for inexpensive Indian food, there's an Indian place...that I've eaten at twice...at The Loft in the Central Department Store at the Chitlom skytrain station. You go upstairs in the department store and there's an eating facility with all types of food...one being Indian. It's quite good. Happy Travels! |
face is good as guenmai says....only open at nite....soi 39 sukhumvit
we like rang mahal which is on the top floor of the rembrandt hotel, soi 18...their sunday brunch is fantastic if you can possibly go.....make a res as it is very busy....ask for a window table...tons of indian families there so you know it is good and a good value also... we have not had a regular dinner or lunch there but expect it would be good too |
The name of the restaurant at Face is Hazara. Give it a miss - overpriced, indifferent service and mediocre food - nice atmosphere though.
|
We had a better impression of Hazara than you did, Craig, but the Indian food wasn't as good (in our opinions) as the Thai.
|
Bob...Face is at Sukumvit, soi 38...not soi 39. Happy Travels!

Rang Mahal is the place. Excellent food and service. As mentioned above, be sure to make a reservation for a window seat.

Can't comment on any of the previously mentioned places as have never stayed in that part of town. if you happen to be staying in Banglamphu (unlikely) then there's a few I can recommend - but would need to decribe how to find as can't remember the names.
And, of course, BKK has its own Little India where you could find your own piece of culinary heaven. sould rying t hat bever plalcesoucAN'T COM |
