India Weather in February

Arriving in Delhi end of Jan 07.

Can anyone advise what the weather is like at that time of year please?

Many thanks - VHS.

We were there in Feb 2005. Cool in the mornings - sweater or jacket 50-60F. Comfortable in the afternoon 65-75F. No guarantees but that is what we experienced.

Thanks Craig.

Still in process of planning our trip (3 weeks stay) but expect to go further south after 7-10 days where I understand the weather is hot (Mumbai & south of Mumbai).

Any hints/tips gratefully received.

VHS.

take a look at www.weatherbase.com

It has the statistcal averages for temperature (highs & lows) rainfall, etc for cities all over the world. The best weather site I've found.

I think Craig was referring to weather in DELHI in January. India is of course a huge country, so Kathie’s weather site would be the best source for a trip involving multiple destinations. If you were to travel in the US in January and went to Miami and Boston you would have completely different weather and would need very different clothes. The same would be true of Delhi and say Goa; although Delhi of course does not get snow.

Having said that, generally January and February are two of the best months everywhere in India. No monsoons and good temps mostly everywhere. It’s not scorching hot in the north and it’s great beach weather in the beach areas.
