Hi Alison: I am certainly relieved you have taken my advice in its intended context. I hope you and your family have a great trip to India. Stay cool. BTW are you taking that direct flight from Toronto? Its a long time in a plane but no worries about missed connections or lost luggage. AA is offering that now from Chicago and I think whenever we go again we will go that route. Cheers, Larry

Hi Jacketwatch
Yes I am taking the Toronto direct flight. There is actually a stop over in Zurich to pick up passengers. Don't know how long we will be there and if they will let us off the plane.
The kids are going economy and I am in executive/first class using points. Unfortunately when we went to book for my husband (also a Larry) the seats available for points users were taken. He is booked economy and stand-by executive/first class. I hope he gets in, otherwise he'll hate me.
We are going Air Canada. It was a really good deal for the kids' tickets.
Alison

I am also flying Air Canada to Delhi from Toronto with a stop in Zurich. Does anyone one know how long the flight from Zurich to Delhi is?

Kerala and back waters will be worth including in your plan . south india will be comparatievely cooler than the north.
Kerala has a lot of homestays that are resonably priced .
