India, Thailand Highlights? Operators?

My dau and I are doing a trip to Africa and Asia in Jan and Feb and are trying to get out trip plans complete. We will have limited time-about a week in India and the same in Thailand. What are the things people really think we shouldn't miss in India? We'll start in Delhi.

Also, tour operators? We're looking at Journeys Intn since they can do India and china.

Try Gregg at Innovasian.com. He's very helpful. We used him for our first Thailand trip.

You can email [email protected], attention Indira Kharbanda for your India leg. They can help you. The website is www.presidenttravels.com. We used them for our India trip. IMO in India you should do Delhi-Agra-Jaipur. If you want to stretch yourselves and like cities you can fly into Delhi and out of Mumbai giving you a chance to see both india's major cities. Else Delhi-Agra-Jaipur is a comfortable 1 week.

You could also cosnider adding Udaipur making your trip Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Udaipur-Delhi/Mumbai. Jaipur-Udaipur has a flight. What budget hotels were you thinking?

Thanks for the info on places to visit. I think we may be flying into Bombay and out of Delhi. We definitely want to see Agra-Jaipur but I am surprised you didn't mention veranasi.

With just one week, neither Varanasi nor Udaipur are practical. Stick to Delhi-Agra-Jaipur unless you want to spend most of your time in India at airports.

If you are touching both Indian cities of Delhi and Mumbai I agree with Craig that Agra Jaipur may be your best bet. In terms of break down 1 night in Agra and 2 in Jaipur. Then you can decide how much time between Delhi and Mumbai.

hanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the feedback. I am not sure about Mumbai considering our limited time. Thanks for the Agra Jaipur feedback-it confirms what I want to do.
