India Roadtrip (Bangalore-Kerala)

Hi I am planning a 2 week roadtrip from Bangalore to Kerala in mid-September and looking for a traveling partner or two to share the costs and the experience. I have a car, and all expenses will be shared equally. Anyone interested? Or any tips on how I can find a partner?

Have you posted on Lonely Planet Thorn Tree forum? Possibly better for this type trip.

mmm...they don't even have an India specific travel buddy forum so I am doubtful...I tried www.trailwala.com/blog because that seems more india outdoor focused. tried www.indiamike too.

You don't need an India-buddy-specific forum, just put it in India, where anyone looking for anything "India" goes. I'm guessing it gets more traffic than all the rest combined.

If you want to find a partner to travel with, you should visit http://www.travbuddy.com/

Thanks KimFionafromUK192 for the tip. Took a look and it doesn't look like India is discussed much. www.trailwala.com got me 2 responses already, so it looks more promising for India...but maybe I should just show up in a cafe in Bangalore and put up fliers, lol.

You say you have a car. Are you driving yourself? Or hiring a driver? If you are driving, and are not from India...are you aware of road conditions there? Speaking for myself, I couldn't drive a block in Bangalore or any city in India, without having a nervous breakdown.

Haha Calinurse, I am Indian, so I am used to it. Plus, the whole point of this trip is to get out of the city and into the countryside--where the beauty makes up for the bad road :)
