India in July?

I have an opportunity to go to India the first two weeks in July. Would like to go to Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur, and maybe Bangalore. So...my question is...how horrible are the monsoons? Will it just rain all day, every day? Could there be a sunny day here or there?

Or...should I pass on India in July and find somewhere else to go? The 1st two weeks of July are my allocated vacation.

It'll hot and humid when it is not raining. A better time would be Nov. thru Jan. or part of Feb. The 1st 2 weeks of July will be tough.

I would regretfully say avoid India during monsoons. Even the summer is better - then all u have to deal with is heat! Bear in mind that many of your transfers between locations esp in Rajastan are by road and in the monsoons these can become very time consuming and unpredicatble.

Thank you both for your advice. I will not go to India in July. Maybe next year my vacation schedule will be different.

Have just finished my trip to India for more than one month. The golden triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur is really a good choice to explore. Jan - Feb is wonderful for travelers, and Jaipur is slightly warmer in daytime because of the desert-like environment. Good place to shop too.
