India - Electrical Adaptors

Can anyone advise what kind of adaptor I need for charging mobile phone/camera battery etc please? Thanks - VHS.

My aging Indian guidebook says two-pin round European adaptor plugs will work, and I think that is what I used, although it says the sockets are triple round pin. Check your charger to make sure it is dual voltage, because otherwise you will also need a transformer. The guidebook also says you should check before plugging in, because sometimes the voltage may vary, but I don't recall having any problems. Depending on where you are, and whether your hotel has its own generator, you may find yourself without electricity for a few hours a day, you may also find that the power fluctuates.

250V at 50 Hz is the power supply.Round pin ( 2&3 ) for the socket.Get yourself a multi pin adaptor (i.e.115v to 250v stepup)with a longish cord. Can get it at your local electric store.May have power fluctuations, not a major problem.
