India E Tourist Visa
 

Hello,

Travelling to India for the first time in November 2016.

Could someone please inform me if the 30 day E Tourist Visa is dated from the day of issue or the day of arrival in the country.

I would like to apply for it early but if it is dated from day of issue then I would have to apply just a week prior to travel .

The E tourist visa is 30 days when you enter country; however, you cannot apply more than 30 or so days ahead for the E visa. Check with website as the specifics are stated. If you try to apply more than 30 days ahead of your entry, the site prevents you from going further. good luck.........

Thankyou dragon88.I was reading from a different site than the goverment tourist site plus reading some comments from tripadvisor reports. It is clear now.

Is the E Visa only for USA? Have they introduced it in other countries as well?
