Hua Hin restaurant recommendation
 

Any suggestions? I already know about La Mer.

We liked the "other" restaurant at the Sofitel Central. This is in the annex to the main hotel. If you walk down the street towards the main hotel, you take a left instead of a right. There are other rooms on that side, but also a restaurant about 200 yards up on your right. Beth also liked the gift shop on that side better than the main gift shop.

"Villa" restaurant in downtown Hua Hin. Nice little Italian place.

The Chicken restaurant opposite the railway station. Local place sell everything with chicken on the dish.

There is an excellent Fish Restaurant at the Sofitel called The Palm Pavilion. It's the hotel's signature restaurant.

There's a new japanese restaurant operated by the Sofitel on the corner, the Sawadee restaurant opposite the Hilton has great Thai food and very good prices. Chao Lay near the Fishing Piers is good for seafood also ketsarin and 'Windy' restaurant. Couple of new places I saw a few months back were Fisherman's Wharf and Oyster Pot down by the fishing pier area, new style treny places, Oyster Pot has live band on the upper level at weekends. La Mer is famous for the seafood and also the view but tuk-tuks can't make the hill so you need a taxi to/from. sasi restaurant near the Hyatt does a Thai Dinner with Thai Dance show.

Just to add another one, the Rua Rimtarn restaurant at Khao Tikiab, same are as La mer but not on the hilltop, shaped like a huge fishing boat, overlooks the local Khao Takiab fishing village, marvelous atmosphere at night. Menu also in English with reasonable English spoken by staff. They offer pick-up/drop service too.
