How much you should pay for a Tuk-Tuk in Bangkok, Thailand?
We took a Tuk-Tuk ride from the Sathorn area of Bangkok to Sukhumvit area of Bangkok and it cost 150 Baht. Were we ripped off? Here is our Tuk-Tuk Videoand trip report from Bangkok - https://youtu.be/SLY0mNHdzVc
Let us know what you think the standard Tuk-Tuk price should be in Bangkok? Tell us about any experiences as well.
Thanks!!

There are no standard prices for tuk-tuks. Tuk-tuks are generally more expensive than taxis, which are metered. I assume you negotiated a price with the driver before you got in. In which case, you were not ripped off, since you found a mutually agreeable price.

At most, the trip cost about $5. Did they stop at a jewelry store and force you to go shopping? Did you spent 15 minutes arguing whether you'd just stop in and peek at the jewelry?
I think you got a decent price for your trip. You could have saved a bit, but really, this does not fall into the category of a rip-off!

Whenever i need the transport, usually from the airport to the condo, i always take a tuk-tuk. Expensive? i love to feel the fresh and cool Thai air in the open seat, to hear the sounds of the tiny motor putting along, to thrill at the speed and skill of the diver as he zooms me towards my destination.
150 baht? Get real. It's a terrific bargain. Try for a horse cart ride in NYC and see what that costs you.
Frankly, and not speaking to the OP particularly, but i hate the moaners who come to T'land and think 200 baht is overpriced for a meal. Try Hong Kong and see what HK$45 will buy you?

"fresh and cool Thai air" in Bangkok? Sarcasm, right? Guess you enjoy breathing exhaust fumes, too.
No one likes being ripped off, and prices in NYC and HK are entirely irrelevant to prices in Thailand.
