How much do things cost in India?

I know the exchange rate, but I don't know how many rupees for, say, a can of soda. How many rupees for tennis shoes? How much for a regular lunch at a local restaurant? Thank you for your comments!

Lent,

A can of soda will cost you 12-20 rupees from the street vendors. Since, approximately $46 rupees is a $1, a can of pop is anywhere from 26 cents to 43 cents. Of course, if you go to a high class restaurant where pop will be served in a glass, that can cost about 30-50 rupees.

Shoes, can cost as low as $4 & range up to whatever price you want to pay. I went to some designer shops & shoes there cost more than the shoes in US ranging.

Lunch at a very cheap, local restaurant can be as low as $1-2. On the extreme side, lunch at a 5-star hotel can be $50. It all depends on what you want & where you go to get it. Things can be very cheap at certain places but can get more expensive than you thought at other places.

Hope this helps!
