Alleppey "close by "to Trivandrum??? No way !!!

What is YOUR definition of "close by"? I'd hate to be one of your clients arriving into Trivandrum, thinking Alleppey is close, and then facing a 2 or 3 hour drive ot get there!

Your advice is highly suspect, at least to me.

I suggest, you stay at Houseboat, its experience id different. Hotel, any time you can stay. In Houseboat, you can take 2 Routes, i.e. Alleppey to Alleppey Round or either Alleppey to Kumarakom Round if your next destination is Kumarakom. Price wise, there is a difference of only Rs: 500=00. You will get 1 Bedroom, 2 or 3 Bedroom Houseboats also. They are classified in 3 different categories. Deluxe, Premium and Luxury. Premium and Luxury Hosueboats are fully AC means, whenever you enter the houseboat AC Starts and in Delxue Hosueboat, AC Starts at 8 PM till 7 AM in the next morning, including ALL MEALS PLAN.

Houseboat is in the range of Rs: 5000=00 Per Night Onwards with All Meals Paln.

There is one resort: Panoramic Alleppey Resort on/ near the Beach.

Other Hotels in ALLEPPEY are Pagoda Resorts, Arcadia Regency, Alleppey Prince Hotel etc, which are in the City, which will be in the budget range of Rs: 1500 to 2500=00.

Really there is no point in staying at a hotel in Alleppy. If you go, you should stay in a houseboat. The backwaters are *the* attraction to the city, as the city itself is fairly bland relatively speaking. I cannot recommend the houseboat company I used as it was only mediocre but would suggest that if you have money to spend during your trip, you're probably best spending that in a nicer houseboat for a better experience.
