Hotels near Petronas Towers, Kuala Lumpur

Hi, I will be going on a trip with my mom and sisters to KL on June. Although not our first time to KL, the other time we went there was when we were on a cruise. We didn't have enough time to explore. I would like recommendations for a hotel near the Petronas Towers. My friend said that is the Suriya KLCC area. She also mentioned that there are new hotels in that area. Would appreciate any information. Thank you.

The Mandarin Oriental is right there. And it has surprisingly low rates.

The MO will also arrange tickets to go up the towers for you so you don't have to queue. The hotels is right next door and is lovely. For an MO property it's very reasonable.

Though it was almost three years ago, we were very pleased with the Maya Hotel.

We stayed in a "tower view" room at the Traders Hotel across from Petronas. We had a fabulous view and got a pretty good deal as I recall (well, at least for a new place in that area).
The hotel is huge, sleek, chic, modern, and spare. We paid $193 including tax etc.

I stayed at the Maya Hotel in November and I recommend it. It's very close to the Petronas Towers. I had a huge suite (way too big for one person) with a great view of the towers for under 50$ per night.

Also, be careful if you visit the central market. Someone tried to steal my wallet but I caught him in the act.

Please be careful some streets around KLCC are very quiet after dark. Stick to the bright and crowded streets.

We stayed in the brand-new Hilton DoubleTree in the Ampang Park area, just 1 stop to KLCC on the LRT. Nice rooms, great breakfast and a view of the KLCC towers from the windows if you are lucky.
