Hotel in Koh Samui -Chawang Regent or Central Samui?

Going on my honeymoon in late December/Early January. Which of these two hotels would you recommend in Koh Samui? Any other ideas? (we want to pay up to $250).

I've stayed at the Regent in one of the executive suites. It was quite nice, but I wasn't impressed with the beach. When the tide was out, there really wasn't a beach!

I haven't stayed at the Central. Maybe someone else can comment on that place.

We just got back from our Honeymoon on Koh Samui and *loved* our 8 day stay at Poppies on Chaweng Beach. The beach was busy but hardly crowded. We stayed in one of 24 private bungalows which surround the pool. It was really relaxing and fantastic...much better than some of the other larger hotels. Our room was $175 a night, I think.

I've stayed at Central Samui Resort and loved it.

In fact, I am planning on going there for my honeymoon in early Dec/04.
