Hotel in Ankor Wat
Planning to spend 4 nights in Angkor Wat in February. Have been looking for Hotels and stumbled on the Bunwin Boutique Hotel. Has anyone had an experience with this establishment?

I've not heard of that hotel. There are many lovely properties in Siem Reap. You might check some of the usual internet booking sites, like www.agoda.com or www.asiarooms.com

The hotel we stayed at in Siem Reap was very nice and reasonably priced - the Bopha Angkor. Great pool, comfortable rooms, great location, and terrific restaurant.
|
The hotel pictures look pretty, but you are a long way from the main "downtown"area of Siem Reap.

There are soooo many hotels in Siem Reap, and lots more springing up.
I personally like "out of downtown" locations but I do think the cement floors will hurt your feet after hours of touring temples. For a similar style you might check this one out: http://www.pavillon-indochine.com/en...-siem-reap.php It's a sister to another hotel I like, the Pavillion d'Orient. |
We also stayed at the Bopha hotel which was lovely and just a few minutes walk into town. I enjoyed going into town for my massages while my husband took a nap in the mid-day heat. The pool area was lovely.

I also like hotels slightly out of downtown (7 Candles on Wat Bo is my favorite place), but that one in the first post is off of Rte ^ and all its noise and dust...
near 7 Candles on Wat Bo Road, but a somewhat more upscale place down the block is the Fangipani Villa at about $40 per night. Both of these are also near Bopha Angkor. |
