You can eat cheap and you can eat expensive in Hong Kong.
I had a nice breakfast at Cafe de Coral the other day for HK$17. Their lunch/dinner is no more than about HK$30. And I had dinner at a new restaurant on Knutsford Terrace 2 nights ago, for about HK$250 per person. All depends where you go. Cheap, expensive, somewhere in between. All up to you. Plenty of cheap to moderately priced restaurants in Fortress Hill. Don't worry about it. You'll allowing HK$300 per day for meals. That can feed 4 persons if you do Cafe de Coral or Fairwood for each meal! :D |
thanks for the prompt reply
3oo ->that would include (7days) food, transportation -also airport travel tax- or any other stuff i might need to pay while in hk ;p im staying in realto mansion in fortress (i hope i can find cheap meals within walking distance -so i can save on commuting) |
Hi! I'm from the Philippines too and like you, will be travelling on a budget with my family in November. I guess budget is a big factor for us Filipinos. Further to rkkwan's reco, you can check-out http://www.cafedecoralfastfood.com/e.../admiralty.jsp
You can find Cafe De Coral's list of fastfood outlets there and a sampling of their menu. |
HK has many, many restaurants. Very difficult to tell the good restaurants from the bad ones.
When I am in HK, I always eat at Satay King (沙嗲王). + The food(mango fried rice and other small dishes) and drinks are delicious and inexpensive (less than $80 HKD). + Cool colorful picture menu. Don't need to ask, it's on the table. + Nice interior. + Six or seven different locations. TIP: get to the restaurant before 6pm for dinner; otherwise, you will have to wait an hour or two. That goes for many HK restaurants. Photos: http://clementnet.spaces.live.com/bl...CEF0!742.entry HK is a pretty safe city. Thus, I always carry cash, and exchange it at currency store inside Mirador Mansion. |
