Hong Kong-Phuket: What Airlines?

Greetings!
Does anyone know which airlines are still flying from Hong Kong to Phuket, Thailand? I have looked at Thai Airways, but am wondering if there are some others...Cathay Pacific only flies to Bangkok.
Thanks so much.

Dragonair had 4 x weekly flights from HKG to Phuket but the flights were suspended, no idea when they might re-start, so it's via Bangkok.

Thai will give you a 'thru' connection via BKK, ( as far as I know they have stoped and non-stops from HKG to Phuket )i.e you can check your baggage and get both boarding passes at HKG for destination Phuket, you clear Immigration and Customs at Phuket. There are lots of airlines offering really cheap fares between HKG and Bangkok ( Gulf Air and Emirates are 2 of the better ones but real cheap ones include Kenya Airways and Ethiopian , plus of course all the regulars )but you will then clear at BKK and then go to Domestic Terminal for onward flight.

From 22 April Bangkok Airways will be flying non-stop from HKG to Koh Samui 3 x weekly, you could check with then to see they have a connection to Phuket, the HKG flight lands Samui at 1540, they used to have a late afternoon Samui-Phuket but they might not be operating. if so it is a 'breeze' thru Samui as opposed to BKK.

Thanks for your help...from my research, it looks like Dragon Air also plans to resume direct flights HK-Phuket in April, but we were hoping to go over Easter.

Some packages use Orient Thai Airlines, which offers one direct flight/day. The airlines are not helping Phuket at all.

Dear Dlai, does it have to be Phuket? My wife and I just came back from Bali and thought that there were more variety of activities to do in Bali. However, we both also agree that Phuket and the surrounding sea and island offer better beaches, snorkeling, and diving opportunities.

Well you have a choice of Orient Thai or via BKK, choice of places depends what you want to do, I am guessing you are going just over the long weekend. I would go for the Orient Thai if it fits with your plan. Naturalyy if you fly into BKK you have a wide choice of beaches and islands to get to, but if you know Phuket and have settled on it as a destination then perhaps 'enjoy' Orient Thai(!)
