Hong Kong -Mexican Restaurant

Last time in H.K. I went to a Mex. restaurant on Hong Kong Is. that was quite good considering. But, they had a sauce from South Africa I believe was Khoisan. That was excellent. I have some friends going to S.A. that will get it for me if I can only tell them what naturally. Anyone care to check it out for me.

Was it a spicy sauce? Could it have been Peri Peri? I was in South Africa and this sauce is at all restaurants.

Do you know if Khoisan is the brand or the type of sauce? Have you tried a web search? Peri Peri is not a brand but a type of sauce. It could be Khoisan is the brand name? I tried a web search and cannot find any type of sauce called Khoisan, so maybe that is the brand name.

Sorry. Khosa is one of the ethnic groups in South Africa,

There is a Chinese sauce called hoisan which is sort of a barbecue sauce. Perhaps khoisan is a spelling variant?

Hoisan is fairly commonly available in the US.

Khosa or Xhosa are two different spellings, but same tribe. Not a peri peri sauce. Thankyou.
