Hong Kong Airport Arrival Help Needed
I have never done this. I will arrive at Hong Kong airport from the US on CX (Cathay Pacific) I believe the arrival will be at TERMINAL 1. I will need to get to the desk in TERMINAL 2 to exchange prepaid AIRPORT EXPRESS voucher for pass at Plaza Premium Lounge (Arrival Hall, Terminal 2). I am trying to understand the logistics. I have tried looking at websites, but still not really clear.
Is it advisable or not to have prepaid for the AIRPORT EXPRESS. If it is not prepaid where do you purchase a round trip pass? (I can cancel the prepaid voucher) I am kind of hoping to avoid any long lines if possible.
Can someone give me a little basic walk through of the process I should expect from arrival at TERMINAL 1 ending up at Salisbury YMCA Hotel on Kowloon.
TIA

I can't help about the lounge etc, peabody, but we stayed at the Salisbury and it's dead easy to get to.
you just take the express train from the airport to Kowloon station and pick up the hotel shuttle which goes to the Peninsula hotel:

you get off at the back of the Peninsula [which is right next to the Salisbury] and walk about 50 years into the back of the YMCA.
We loved the Salisbury - IMO it's a really good place to stay, nice and close to the Star ferry, a convenient underground stop, and a wonderful view over the harbour. When you check in they will hand you a discount voucher for breakfast - what they didn't say was that if you are staying more than one night, and want breakfast on those extra days, you just ask at the desk for more vouchers.

There is no such thing as "Arrivals Hall, Terminal 2". The Plaza Premium Arrivals Lounge is located in the passage way between T1 and T2. Just follow the signs for T2 after you get out of baggage claim and you'll find the lounge.
You can buy Airport Express tickets at various booths in the airport, or you can even wait until you get to the city before buying them as there is no turnstiles at the airport platforms.

I can give a little info about finding the Plaza Premium lounge as I did the same very recently (actually looking for the Cathay arrivals lounge): After you exit from baggage claim and customs in Terminal 1, look for signs for arrivals lounges, or, failing that, signs for the Airport Express. After walking down a ramp, look for an escalator going down -- that takes you to the hallway with the arrival lounges.

Don't know if this is too late, but might as well use this one:

No need to pick up tickets at a lounge. Just board the train and then show the voucher after you arrive in the city.
