Honeymoon Indonesia 10 days. Where?
 

Hi Everyone,

We just got married this past Saturday!! Hurray!!!!

We want to go to Indonesia for our Honeymoon next week!!! I've always dreamed of Indonesia, and i'm thrilled its about to happen!

I need some help on which places to go in Indonesia.
We have 10 nights to spend all together.
For sure the Four Seasons in Ubud... But then, the other days, should we go to Uluatu? Lombok? or Seminyac?

Ideas?

With just 10 days, spend all of your time on Bali. You have your Ubud time arranged, for your beach time, I'd suggest Seminyak. While I love Lombok, it will likely take you all day to get there! And I'm sure you don't want to use up a day of your honeymoon in transit.

I would do 6 in Ubud and the rest in Semayak. I love Lombock but,
The beaches have a lot I mean a lot of trash.Culture thing

If your in the Four Seasons price range then look at The Legian in Seminyak. Others in the same neighborhood -- The Samaya and the Alila Seminyak.

The resorts in Ulu Watu are beautiful with spectacular ocean and sunset views, but the area is quite remote. Great for serenity and privacy, but not readily accessible to many restaurants, shops etc. Also the resorts are mostly on the cliff side and the beaches a long way down -- and up.

Maybe start off with a couple of days in Ulu Watu, followed by four days in Ubud and ending with four days in Seminyak.

August is high tourist season in Bali and the most popular restaurants will be very busy. Ask your resort's concierge to make dinner reservations for you when you make your room reservation. I'd recommend in Ubud Hujan Locale (upstairs), Locavore. In Seminyak La Lucciola, Sardine, Sarong.

What can i expect in Seminyak? Is it a nice beach?

And if i have to choose between Siminyak and Ulu Watu? which one is a nicer beach?

The beaches in Seminyak and Ulu Watu are very different. Seminyak beach is part of a long connected series of beaches that stretches about 15 kms along the west coast. The beach is wide and sandy though there's a good deal of tide variance. This is a big wave surfing beach and can at times be too rough for swimming. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas at several places.

The resorts at Ulu Watu are built on the edge of the cliff overlooking the ocean. The beaches are small sandy coves. Some are protected; some have intense surf. To get to the beach you have walk down many steps (as much as 10 stories) and then back up -- though some resorts have funiculars.

From Seminyak beach you can walk to many restaurants. At Ulu Watu you pretty much need to take a taxi when you leave your resort.

I have never been to Ulu Watu (sounds lovely), but have been to Ubud and Seminyak. For a first time trip it was a wonderful combo. I don't think you can go to Bali and not experience the culture, beauty, serenity and spirituality of Ubud. The Four Seasons is a gorgeous property beautifully located on the outskirts of town. Enjoy its privacy, but please make sure to leave to explore temples, markets, artisans, festivals, music, etc. And if you want a relaxing upscale beach experience too, Seminyak is it. We rented a fabulous villa steps from the beach, but as per the advice above there are many wonderful hotels as well. There are excellent restaurants, which are also listed by Marmot. I went to most of them and they were sublime. If you want a great full service beach club experience, with excellent food, drinks and service, try Ku Du Ta and Potato Head. We experienced Potato Head during the day and also at night for dinner. If you enjoy strolling and shopping, Seminyak has this too with inexpensive markets to upscale boutiques. Both places were wonderful and I cannot wait to go back to dig deeper and explore more of the country.
