Honeymoon In sept

Dear All,

I am planning to go for our honeymoon during the 1st two weeks of September for a honeymoon

We were initially planning Vietnam

3 Nights - Hanoi, 2 Nights - Halong Bay Cruise, 3 Nights Hoi An, 2 Nights Saigon and 3 Nights in Con Dao or some nice beach on South Viet

We were apprehensive about the weather in the central and southern parts on Viet or decided to go to bali after Halong Bay (Though I have heard Hoi an is fantastic)

We would be taking flights for domestic routes within the country to save time.

OR

our second options was Thailand and Bali (2 Nights Bangkok, 5 Nights Koh samui & 6 Nights Bali)

can someone please make some suggestions as to which of these options would be better in sept....

Only Vietnam / Viet - Bali / Viet - Thai or Thai - Bali ?

we want a nice romantic holiday with a bit of culture, parties and the usual honeymoon stuff )

Please keep in mind the weather ( We do not mind a bit of heat or rain )

For honeymoon i wouldnt move too much. I would pick 1 country.

I thought of it first, but then the fly time between the two destinations is not more than 3.5 hours

also before Bali, going from Vietnam or Thailand we would be stopping for a night in Kuala Lumpur before heading to Bali

so that would not put much strain on the travel (according to me)

Bali to Samui takes 2 flights plus waiting time. Likely chew up much of the day.

Do want you want but you could just visit 2 islands in one country.

Bkk/samui/tao for example

IMO Kuala Lumpur is a dull city. Bangkok far more interesting.

I don't have an opinion on how to best split your time, except to say that the fewer destinations and the fewer flights the better. Even if a flight's only a few hours it always ends up taking most of the day with transportation and sitting around airports.

September is a good time to visit Bali. Generally fair weather and less crowded after the August crush.

Unless you have a personal reason to include KL, I'd not include it this trip.

Why not spend all of your time in Indonesia? The weather will be better in Bali than in VN or Thailand. And a Java-Bali-Lombok trip would be a wonderful combination.

I think it always works better when you have multiple locations, to have them close together.

suggest bali for the whole time... tons to do there and you will save $$ by not adding flts, plus it is their main season at that time so better weather
