@maldivescomplete: thanks man. |
can anyone gimme suggestions bout countries/cities to visit in 14 day trip? i dun wanna be grounded to one place. mixture of beach, scuba diving, shopping n food.
|
It will be difficult to spend more than a 4 night honeymoon with meals in the Maldives on your budget.
|
You've tagged your post with a list of Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and the Maldives. Were you thinking to go to all of these?
Where have you already been in Asia? (so we can suggest some new places) |
Have you thought about Thailand? Great weather at that time of year.
|
@kathie: i tagged them coz i am interested in those places. hence keeping my options open. n no i havent been to any.
|
i was thinking of maybe places like langkawi, singapore, bali. any suggestions guys?
|
and plus i dunno much bout places. so maybe you can suggest me few places and i can look into it.

Asia is a big place. It's hard to suggest places with so little guidance. But here goes...
Here are a few a ideas to consider: The temples of Angkor in Cambodia - one of the wonders of the world. If you choose to visit allocate three full days, four nights. Combines well with Thailand, Laos, VN. Georgetown, Penang Malaysia: A world Hertitage site, with the elements of the historic port town intact. Famous for its hawker food - perhaps the best in Asia. A honeymoon worthy hotel, the historic E&O is worth the trip in and of itself. Combines well with Langkawi for beach time. Bali is a traditional honeymoon destination. If you opt for Bali you can add in a few days in central Java to see Borobudor and Prambanam. You can also add in a few days in Singapore. Thailand is another traditional honeymoon destination. Dividing your yime between Bangkok and a beach (the Phuket side at that time of the year) with the addition of one other destination - either Angkor or perhaps the Anantara at the Golden Triangle for relaxation and elephants - would make a wonderful trip. Do some research and come back with specific questions. |
hey guys, i am down with two ideas.
1. directly going to bali via singapore first(1 weeks). then langkawi(3 days) n then singapore(4-5 days). 2. bali, singapore, phuket, and mauritius. the order can change. i wanted to ask is it better to travel 3 places in 2 weeks or 4. coz i know ill spend half a day everytime i travel while going to airport, immigration, n checking in another hotel. what do you think? |
With two weeks, plan just three places. Anticipate that it will take most of a day to change locations.
Neither of your two plans make a lot of sense. If you want to go to Bali and SIngapore, combine it with something closer like central Java (for Borobudor) or if you want another beach location, Lombok. On Bali, you will want to stay at two locations, somewhere inland near Ubud and a beach location. Forget Mauritius, too far from your other destinations. And I wouldn't combine Phuket with Bali. You go to Bali for the culture and it has ok beaches, Phuket has beautiful beaches, but will give you little cultural exposure. If you want to go to Phuket, combine it with somewhere else in the general area - say Bangkok and Angkor Wat. |
