honeymoon in Bali
 

I have narrowed down my search of accomodations for my upcoming honeymoon to 4 Seasons, Jimbalayan Bay - Ritz-Carlton - The Oberoi and Pansea Puri.I would appreciate tips on which to pick! (For some reason, I did not feel like short-listing the Aman hotels!)

The Ritz-Carlton is nice, but no different to any othre Ritz-C. The Oberoi is nice, but both Four Seasons' properties (especially the one at Sayan) are wonderful! Ihave not visited the Pansea Puri. The Aman resorts are also worth consideration.

we honeymooned at the R-C Jimbaran and the FS Sayan. The FS Sayan is an absolutely wonderful place. The R-C is fantastic too. first class service all the way and the nicest people we encountered. <BR> <BR>The FS Sayan is not to be missed. I would suggest spending part of the time at one of the beach resorts and then spending some time at the FS Sayan, in a private villa. They are not too expensive ($350 per night when we were there last year) and the scenery is phenomenal. In our opinion, the FS Sayan is a must.

My vote is for the OBEROI. I love the privacy, the beach that you can walk along undisturbed for miles, but most of all their private villas [with or without your own pool]. You will think that you died and went to heaven. Many of their repeat customers never even leave the grounds of the hotel. It's just far enough out of town to give you lots of privacy without making you feel isolated.

We honeymooned at the Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay, and all three of the Amans in Bali. Four Seasons and Amankila were our favorites. Amankila's setting is by far the best of the four. We stopped by the Four Seasons Sayan for a look, and decided that on our next trip to Bali we will spend a few days there as well.

We stayed at the Pansea Puri in Jimbaran on November, 2000. It was a great hotel--very private, beautiful, Balinese architecture and style (natural materials), small and personal with great food. All arrangements from airport pickup to tour arrangements were expertly done. If you enjoy smaller hotel this would be perfect choice for honeymoon.
