Honeymoon Bali June 2024 - first timers!
Hi all - we're three weeks out now from going to Bali from Ireland for our honeymoon.
My fiancée and I (both 30) are going to Bali June 2024 - we will spend 16 days in bali and 4 nights in Dubai, flying with emirates, total trip about 3 weeks including travel. This is our first time to Bali. This is our plan at present - we were told that we have too long on Gili T and not enough time in Ubud
We are going to Dubai for 4 nights after Bali so we will get all of that luxury scene there! We are there to relax but don’t care so much about beaches we prefer pools, coastal views mean more than being in built up areas, we arent so much into cities I am probably more inclined to stay in luxury resort hotels but my fiancée is attracted to the luxury villas Bali has to offer , I just feel the atmosphere would be a bit quiet . Just for context , we cannot afford to stay in the very high end Bali 5 stars but some of the cheaper ones. I am planning to take a night from Gili T & add it onto Ubud. The main thing I am concerned about is if we are overpaying for our accom and could maybe have another look at it? |
We will also be in Jimbaran for the last part of the trip which happens to be my wifes 30th birthday! so hoping to do something special..

Hi,
Personally, I prefer Seminyak to Canggu for the overall vibe. Canggu is very chaotic (to be honest, I think many areas in Bali are quite chaotic right now), and Seminyak is still pretty close to everything. But staying in Canggu for 2-3 nights should be enough; again, there aren't many things to see there. Also, five nights at Gili T seems to be a bit much since you said you don't care much about beaches, I think 2 nights should be enough since Gili T is not that big. There is plenty to see and do around Ubud, so I think spending 4 to 5 nights in Ubud should be okay. Consider Uluwatu/Nusa Dua as well, at least for your wife's birthday celebration. Uluwatu/Nusa Dua-JImbaran is close, so you can stay in Jimbaran but having dinner around Nusa Dua/Uluwatu can be another option. I hope it helps! |
Thank you Catur88!

Bali is an excellent choice for a honeymoon and June is a great time to visit Bali if you are interested in doing beach activities, surfing, and cultural exploration. Your plan looks pretty good and I don't think you need to make any changes to it. I wish you all the best for a fantastic trip :tu:
