Hoi An or Hue?

We are doing a cruise and have one day in Danang and unsure which tour to do? Recommendations please!

You are MUCH closer to Hoi An when you are in Da Nang. You can even easily bike there from Da Nang.

Hoi An is 15 miles away on straight roads from Da Nang (30 minutes). Hue is 50 miles away--and if you take the scenic route (the only interesting way to go), the trip consists of hairpin turns over the Hai Van Pass--2-3 hours.

I'd go to Hoi An, as a day trip to Hue would be mostly on the bus. A day trip to Hoi An will actually be a day in Hoi An. Hoi An is charming. Great photo opportunities.

I've stayed in both places. With your limited time, there wouldn't even be a question in my mind. Go to Hoi An.

Loved them both. You can't go wrong going to hoi an and it makes much more sense, being so much closer.

Much prefer Hue to Hoi An which will be very busy, but with just one day most of your time would be taken up with traveling so Hoi An would be your best option.

I also preferred hue, but loved hoi an as well.
