Hello!

I'm heading to HK mid-August to September with my two pre-teen kids. Any suggestions on places we should hit? Guessing it will be too hot/humid to hike. Speaking of the weather, how hot/humid is it during this time? We're from NYC, so I think we can weather it for the most part.

My top 3 locations to stay are Eaton, Hotel LBP or Conrad Hilton (I have a family discount). Has anyone stayed at any of these locations? My only requirements are cleanliness, wi-fi and breakfast.

The Conrad is two notches above the other two hotels. Clearly the choice if money is not a consideration, and I find it odd you will compare those three. Eaton is fine with location in the heart of Kowloon Peninsula, so close to night markets and all. LBP's location is less exciting, and I worry about room size there.

A friend is helping me get discount at The Conrad. If I didn't have my friend's help, The Conrad wouldn't be on my list.

Just trying to figure out which one would be more central than the other, if it requires a lot of walking from the train station, places to eat and visit landmarks.

All three are without short walks to the MTR trains - Conrad through a upscale mall and underground walkway, the other two via surface streets. If you can get the Conrad for not much more than the other two, there's no reason to even think about those.

It's going to be hot and humid and the rainfall is high in those months. Tai Tam country park is lovely for picnics and walking. There are lots of beaches in HK but s that what you want .
