Hilton in Phuket
 

Never thought that we would get air tickets for Christmas time for going to Phuket, but we got the confirmations! That was great, but now we can't get hotels. The only one we could get is Hilton on Karon beach. Would appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks.

I did a quick search here... http://www.sawadee.com/ for a week from the 23/12 and found plenty of hotels with availabilty.

I can personally recommend the Kata Palm, for solid 3 star accomodation and the Avista, also at Kata, for something that approaches a 4 star property, Cenatara Grand at Karon, for a big sprawling 5 star resort or the Kee Resort at Patong for a more "boutique-luxury" feel.

All of these have rooms available.

Thanks for all the replies. I will take a look. Have a huge list of requirements for DH, 17 year old son and 70+ mom! Am just happy that we are going...
