High end Beijing hotel
Someone recommended the Peninsula but the costs are very high. Can I get a four or five star hotel for four nights for a more reasonable amount?
I've never been in Beijing so location is probably important. Thank you |

What dates and how much do you want to spend? That's a lot easier than just ask what other hotels are "more reasonable".

rkkwan,
Thanks for the response. We'll be there on Friday, March 16th for four nights. As far as cost is concerned, the Peninsula wants $300 per night and I'd heard that we could get a top notch hotel for under $200 and even less. A 5 star hotel is not necessary. |
Prices fluctuate, and I think it may be a little too early to book hotels for next March right now. I suggest waiting a little - perhaps until November or so - before checking and deciding again.

BTW, I just checked asiahotels.com, and for your dates, you can get the Prime Hotel for $140/night, or $159 for superior room. It's a pretty good hotel in the best location of the city. If you want to book things now, that's what I'd go for.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Wangfujing in June and loved it. We got a great rate via their offical website http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/cp/...el/pegwf?(they guarantee to tbe cheapest on the net). We stayed on the Club floor which entitled us to free breakfast (in either the executive lounge or restaurant), free drinks in minibar, evening cocktails & nibbles in executive lounge, free internet in lounge, laundry allowance etc. When you do a search for your dates make sure you click on all the different options as they all have different inclusions.
The location is great and service was very good. |
4 Star Hotels:
1. Novotel Hotel in Wangfujing - excellent location 2. Marco Polo Hotel in Xidan 5 Star 1. Kerry 2. Peninsula |
The Beijing Hyatt is also very nice and in a good location.

Thank you all.
