Help with Vietnam Visa

Can anyone offer any help in obtaining a Vietnam Visa online? I booked a very last minute trip - leaving in two weeks - and have been unable to obtain a visa during the last 9 days. There is so much conflicting information online that I don't know who or what to believe. Bottom line, it appears that getting one in person is not possible.

: I have been attempting to get an online vise from the official Vietnam website but keep hitting snafus. Yesterday I checked and the status was "processing" and I thought I'd finally succeeded. Then this morning it said, "Change password", which I did to no avail. I made 3 changes and it still says to change. My payment was successful/
It is impossible to reach the consulate in NY by phone or email and the one in Washington is the same. I know there are agencies who do it but they require one month and I have only two weeks.
I'd appreciate any advice. TIA

Four days for processing maybe
tho how would you know if you can’t login?

Did they send you an email? Maybe in your spam folder. Use links in the email if you got one.

Good luck

As a UK citizen , I no longer need a visa but have applied for many Vietnamese visa over the years. It is important to realise that it is not an automated system. There is someone sitting at a desk in Hanoi doing all the processing . That said, the password reset issue indicates that you may have encountered a glitch in the system. I recently encountered similar problems when helping out some American friends with their application a few months ago. We did manage to get things sorted out.

These steps may help resolve your issue
  1. Make sure you are using the official site https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/web/guest/home - anything else is either an agent site or a scam.
  2. Within a few minutes/hours of payment you should get a confirmation email containing your registration code- this more important than the login itself — you can use it to check status without logging in using your password
  3. If you haven't recieved said email check your junk/spam folders
  4. If you have the email with the reg code, instead of logging in, go to Search/ Look up E-visa enter teh code, your email and DOB this should show visa status etc and allow you to download
  5. You can also try a different browser (Chrome/Safari/ Edge/Firefox).
  6. Clearing cache/cookies and restarting your device can help
  7. If all that fails there is a contact form you can use @ https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/fr/lien-he?utm

Good luck!
