Help with Seoul hotel...
 
in seoul for a weekend in july (tourism and relaxation at end of business trip) and am choosing between (1) W walkerhill, (2) renaissance seoul hotel (3) grand hyatt and (4) sejong hotel. cost, location, and comfort are key considerations. any suggestions would be much appreciated! thanks!

If you want to concentrate on sights in Seoul, then Walker Hill is a bit out of the way.

Grand Hyatt is also somewhat out of the way, near Mt Namsan, between Seoul Stn and ItaeWong. Though the hotel itself is serene and they have a good spa.

Renaissance is in Kangnam, south of the river. It's a convenient area for shopping and restaurants. Most of the modern 5-star hotels seem to be located around Kangnam.

If you want 5-star in the central part of the city (ie close to the palaces, Insa-dong), Westin would be my recommendation.

The Westin and the JW Marriott are both quite nice.
