Help! Transfer time from Phuket Airport to Ferry Pier for Phi Phi ?

Our flight (from BKK) arrives at Phuket Airport at 12.30, I am hoping that baggage collection will take up 15 mins, will 45 minutes be sufficient to get to the ferry point ? Our hotel at Phi Phi (charlies) are arranging a pick up from the airport and say that it should be fine, and that if we miss the 1.30pm ferry we can get the 2.30 ferry (?)

Touchdown at Phuket Airport at 12.30 for a boat to Phi Phi at 1.30 is cutting it fine to say the least, I should anticipate being on the 2.30.

You actually made a good choice with Charlie's, the cottage bungalows are great, it's not an expensive place but the service is very attentive and helpful, you will enjoy.

I read that the last ferry from Phuket to Phi Phi is at 13h30. Is that correct?
If not where can I see a correct updated timetable?

PP Charlies have told me that if I miss the 13.30 ferry, that I can get the 14.30 ferry (???)

Now I've looked everywhere onthe net and can't see any info that says there is a 14.30 ferry. I hope Charlies are right. But I tempted to change my flight to Thai Air which lands at 12.15 instead of the bangkok air flight which lands at 12.30. But then again I have had alot of varied replys, on lonely planet thorn tree, some people say 30 mins, some day 45 mins and some way 1 hr !!!!

Bottom line is it depends on traffic and how fast the guy drives, suffice to say touchdown on runway at the airport to boat leaving from near Phuket Town in 60 minutes is too tight, to say the least. 15 mins won't make the world of difference.
Can you not simply take an earlier flight in the morning? If you are connecting direct from a long-haul you are more likely to get a delay on 'that flight' inbound. Are you connecting in BKK or otherwise simply get an earlier flight.

What a palava !!!

I was in a panic mode - worrying about this transfer time, so I decided to change my flight to Thai Airways and book the flight that gets in at 12.15, giving me a little bit more time, as the majority of people say that it takes 45 mins to get to the ferry point. So I booked this flight, only to then look at Bangkok Air flights (who I had originally booked with) change their flight times to land in at 12.20 !!! So I cancelled the 12.15 (as I hadn't paid for them yet) and I am a bit peed of at Bangkok Air for changing !! (although I 'm slightly happy now that its landing at 12.20. Therefore I estimate 15 to get out of the airport, 12.35, then 55 mins to drive to the ferry point. Sorted.

That's good news. I checked also my reservation at www.viewtrip.com for August and in fact we have 10 more minutes to take the ferry.
Counting down to AngkorWat and Phi Phi.

Dear Cytrav2000,

I am chilled out now !

We were going to go to Angkor as well, but we chagned our mind as we are only traveling for 2 and half weeks and werre cramming in too many destinations ! Anyway, if you need a recommendation of a 'hip' hotel in Angkor, its called, Dead fish Inn. They have had great reviews on LP forum and the prices are dirt cheap.

Hope you have a great trip, I'm extremely excited about my trip in April !
